How to Rename File Extensions

A lot of people here may ask how to rename a file extension in windows; well it’s very simple and takes little of your time. There are two ways to rename a file extension ‘without’ any program.

Number 1:- Folder Options:

Go into your Control Panel, in my case I use Windows Vista so I would press [Start then Control Panel].
In Control Panel open “Folder Options” and click the view tab and make sure ‘Hide file extensions for know files’ is not selected, then press Ok.

Now go into a folder and notice you can see your files extensions, rename them by presing F2 to whatever you'd like.

Number 2:-MS-DOS:

The difference between renaming files in DOS is that you can rename multiple files rather then one at a time, therefore making time gracious. Here I’ll provide you a few examples.

Go to your start menu and open run, then type “cmd”. Ok you’re in MS-DOS. Excellent… now find out which directory has your files and type:

Example

D:\media\wallpapers

In your case “D:\media\wallpapers” may not exist, so type in the directory that your have you files in. now in DOS change your directory like below...

C:\Documents and Settings\User>D:

D:\>cd media

D:\media>cd wallpapers

D:\media\wallpapers>ren *.jpg *.bmp

Ther you are done, just go & check in your directory is it changed or not?

Antivirus Guide

I often asked by my friends the following types of questions…..

What antivirus program is the best for a computer?
How do I remove antivirus plus from my computer?
What is the best antivirus for a laptop?
How I can find the virus in my system?
How do I remove that virus from my computer?
Is it required to enable the antivirus software to run during the start up?
Where can i find a free antivirus that will get viruses that start with the computer?
I think there is a virus in my "pen-drive" what should I do?
Double click on my pen-drive is not working?
I see "any folder".exe in my all drive what's that?

I know why you are here on my blog...there is only two possibilities either you already hited by a virus & you want solution or you want to protect your system by doing so.That's why I have divided this blog in to two category...

Assuming that your system have viruses, than your first job is find that virus but neither we are "tech-gurus" nor we will find by our eyes.so the way is install a good antivirus like AVAST. I know some of you people will go to torrents sites to find crack version but I don't know why you want crack version when antivirus like avast, anti-vir, avg,... are free. I personally suggest you go for Avast site & download free version, then register. After doing this they will send you key for your own software. Trust me guys I am using Avast from 4 years there is no single problem I have faced.
Great Antivirus Protection with Great Volume Prici
OK after installing software scan your whole system thoroughly. Still you facing problem then you might be attacked by male ware. Install good spay wares like spybot....ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
